This is the kick-off event for the League’s Get Certified! financial counselor certification program. At this event, we will distribute the modules to students, establish timelines, for completion, and begin the process of certification.
This is the first event of the program. There will also be more than a dozen conference calls, a full-day training in the fall, and a celebration event next year.
This event is free to attend, although if you plan to complete the certification you need some modules to study. On a first-come, first serve basis the League will provide 50 credit unions with a set of modules for $100. Other credit unions wishing to participate, or credit unions wishing to purchase additional sets modules, can do so for $420.
At this kick-off meeting, we will distribute modules. We need to know how many sets to order, so as you’re registering, please be sure to check the box next to each person you want to order modules for. If you have any questions, contact Stephen Nelson at 801-234-3118.

As a result of a grant given to the League by the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) and its REAL Solutions program, the League is excited to announce Get Certified! a low-cost certified financial counselor program for Utah’s credit unions. The program will start May 25.
Through Get Certified!, students will obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to become more confident in helping members build a stronger financial future--a valuable tool in any market, but especially useful in today’s economic turbulence.
