Let’s face it, being an employer is not easy. Setting aside the employee issues, credit unions need to draft and retain documents. Sounds simple enough. But which documents does the credit union need to use for military leave? Family leave? Does it matter if it is for an employee’s spouse? What type of authorization is needed for criminal background checks? Is it different than consumer reports? How long is the retention period for documents?
The FMLA says one time period which may conflict with the responsibilities under the FLSA. This seminar addresses these issues. Participants will receive documents needed to implement and administer human resources functions, such employment applications, applications for leave and a record retention chart. Credit unions will learn what forms are needed, when they need to be completed and for how long they will be retained.
