The role of credit union director is a lot like being the coach. You are called to create a vision, direction and strategy and must motivate your team to see a future that they may not be able to envision for themselves. To excel as a coach, you need to understand the competitive environment your team will be playing in. The 2014 Western States Volunteers’ Conference will provide you with the tactics and strategies that are needed in today’s credit union environment to succeed. You’ll leave this conference with a refreshed game plan in the areas of governance, strategy, financial management, regulatory changes, and personal leadership.
The Western States Volunteers’ Conference is brought to you by the credit union leagues that represent the states of Arizona,Arkansas, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, andWyoming.
This conference is specifically geared toward:

- Supervisory committee members

- All interested volunteers CEOs and managers
Registration fees: Early Bird Registration: $625 per participant, guest $229 – registration must be postmarked on or before January 3, 2014. After January 3, 2014 - registration will be: $ 675 per participant.Reservations will be accepted on a space-and rate-available basis. Cancellations received in writing (via email: email@example.com) ten or more days before the start of the program are eligible for a refund of the amount paid minus a $75 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted if cancellation is received ten days or less before a program begins. Substitutions are accepted any time prior to the start of the program.
The Tropicana rate is $125/night deluxe rooms for Saturday, February 1, 2014 and $75/night deluxe rooms for Sunday, February 2 through Tuesday, February 4, 2014, plus the current Clark County room tax of 12% (subject to change) is charged on each room. These above special rates are only guaranteed through January 3, 2014. It will be necessary to guarantee hotel reservations with a credit card and one night’s room and tax will be charged to your credit card at the time of reservation. Hotel cancellation: To cancel a hotel reservation and request refund of your deposit, you must contact the hotel directly at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival.
