Half Day Training: Teller Essentials for Loss and Error Prevention (afternoon)

Any financial institution is, by its nature, a target for loss. In dealing with money, you are working with an item that everyone wants. Annually, hun- dreds of thousands of dollars are lost due to a variety of illegal activities. Can anything be done to eliminate this type of activity? The answer is no! What we can do is learn to detect and minimize the frequency in which they occur.

In this highly-informative program, you will learn how to recognize and prevent potential losses and errors. Topics that we will discuss include:

  • Identification: Why Is It So Important?
  • Counterfeit money
  • Negotiable Instruments
  • Balancing
  • Robbery

This program will discuss these issues and more. Additionally, it will provide you with appropriate controls and practices to neutralize events of this type.
